LUXEMBOURG – Aker BP has contracted Subsea 7 to perform the 15-km (9.3-mi) subsea tieback of the Hanz field in the North Sea to the Ivar Aasen platform.
The scope includes engineering, procurement, construction, and installation of the gas lift pipelines, the pipe-in-pipe production lines and associated subsea infrastructure, using various vessels from Subsea 7’s fleet.
The company will manage engineering from its offices in Stavanger, with fabrication of the pipelines taking place at its Vigra spool base. Offshore operations are scheduled for 2023.
