LONDON – Neptune Energy has awarded Fugro a subsea inspection contract for the Cygnus gas field in the UK southern North Sea.
Fugro will inspect the subsea infrastructure, including pipelines and other structures, and perform survey activities ahead of future drilling campaigns on Cygnus.
The company will also deploy inspection technologies that will allow data processing to be performed at Fugro’s remote operations center in Aberdeen, rather than offshore, reducing time and costs, according to Neptune.
