OSLO, Norway – ConocoPhillips Skandinavia has permission from Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority to start using the new Tor II subsea facilities.
The Tor 2/4YA and 2/4YB seabed templates are connected via a tieback to the company’s Ekofisk complex in the southern Norwegian North Sea.
Tor was initially in production from 1978 to 2015. ConocoPhillips secured approval last year for a redevelopment of the field last year: production through the new facilities should begin later this year.
