Offshore staff
LEIDSCHENDAM, the Netherlands – Fugro has employed the survey vessel Edda Sun for an inspection, repair and maintenance program at the Corrib gas field offshore northwest Ireland.
The campaign, commissioned on behalf of the field’s operator, Vermilion Exploration and Production Ireland, included deepwater pipeline surveys, inspection of subsea structures, and maintenance using Fugro’s FCV3000 ROV.
Prior to mobilizing offshore, Fugro undertook subsea virtual simulation, engineering design and physical testing to develop a predictive understanding of the inspection and maintenance tasks.
This assisted operational planning, allowing certain task scenarios to be tested ahead of project execution.
