Shelf Drilling has negotiated long-term contracts for two of its jackups offshore West Africa.

Offshore Nigeria, the Shelf Drilling Mentor will remain in Nigeria after completing its current program to drill 10 wells over an estimated 450-day period. The value of this contract is $60 million.

Following a letter of award, the Shelf Drilling Achiever is due to start a multi-year campaign in October. At present, the rig is being mobilized to West Africa on a dry transport carrier and should arrive before the end of this month.

Also on the transport vessel is Shelf Drilling’s Main Pass IV rig, and it also should start operations by the end of 2024.
