KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia — Carigali Hess Operating Co. has agreed to extend Velesto Drilling’s contract for the jackup NAGA 8 by 18 months, starting from next April.
The estimated value of the extension period is $74 million.
According to Velesto, NAGA 8 is a premium independent-leg cantilever jackup capable of drilling to depths of up to 30,000 ft, in a water depth of up to 400 ft.
