Safe Zephyrus has reached Brazil and is undergoing preparations to start a contract for Petrobras on May 1.
Safe Eurus began its current four-year contract with Petrobras on Feb. 17. The rig’s scheduled off-hire period has been shifted to first-quarter 2024, during which contract compliance works, hull cleaning and a special periodic survey will take place.
Safe Notos will come off hire in May for about 30 days for compliance works and hull cleaning for the same company.
Presently, Safe Concordia is laid up in Curaçao. Rampup and mobilization works have started for the rig’s upcoming project in the US Gulf of Mexico, due to start sometime between July and September. Prosafe has negotiated a standby rate of $28,000 per day for the period from Aug. 1 until the latest start date of Sept. 30.
Across the Atlantic, Safe Caledonia is laid up at Scapa Flow in northern Scotland pending future work, likewise Safe Boreas and Safe Scandinavia in Norway.
