Palfinger to provide cranes for Sangomar floater

SALZBURG, AustriaMODEC has contracted Palfinger to supply two wire luffing lattice boom cranes to the FPSO for Woodside’s Sangomar field development offshore Senegal.

The vessel, which will be stationed around 100 km (62 mi) south of Dakar, will be capable of processing 100,000 b/d of crude oil, 130 MMcf of gas and 145,000 bbl of injection water, with a minimum crude storage capacity of 1.3 MMbbl.

Palfinger’s two DKW1600 cranes will provide a lifting capacity of up to 30 metric tons and a maximum outreach of 35 m (115 ft) to the FPSO.
