LONDON – Valaris plc has received two new contracts and four contract extensions, with associated backlog of $84 million.
Offshore Norway, Repsol has awarded the jackup VALARIS JU-290 (Rowan Viking) a contract to provide accommodation services. It is expected to start next month, with an estimated duration of 130 days.
In the US Gulf of Mexico, McMoRan Oil & Gas has awarded the jackup VALARIS JU-87 (ENSCO 87) a one-well contract. It Is expected to start this month, with an estimated duration of 30 days.
Offshore Mexico, Eni has extended the contract for the semisubmersible VALARIS 8505 (ENSCO 8505) by three wells. The estimated duration of 225 days is from February 2020 to September 2020.
Offshore Trinidad, Shell awarded the jackup VALARIS JU-248 (Rowan Gorilla VI) a one-month contract extension, from September 2019 to October 2019.
Also, off Trinidad, an undisclosed operator has extended the contract for the jackup VALARIS JU-117 (Ralph Coffman) by two wells. The estimated duration of 60 days is from December 2019 to February 2020.
In the North Sea, Total has awarded the jackup VALARIS JU-247 (Rowan Gorilla V) an eight-month contract extension, from March 2020 to November 2020.
