Nexans has obtained an EPCI contract for TenneT’s LanWin 2 offshore wind project.

Nexans has obtained a EUR1-billion ($1.027 billion) EPCI contract for TenneT’s LanWin 2 offshore wind project, part of a 2-GW offshore grid connection development in the German North Sea.

The work scope covers 250 km of 525-kV high-voltage direct current, cross-linked polyethylene (HVDC, XLPE) offshore and onshore export cable systems.

Commissioning of the project is due to take place in 2030.

Under a frame agreement, Nexans is also working for TenneT on the BalWin3 and LanWin4 projects announced last March.
