Repsol and EDF Renewables have agreed to team up for future offshore wind tenders in Spain and Portugal.

By 2027, Repsol expects to have 9,000-10,000 MW of renewable energy from its portfolio installed by 2027, of which 50% will be in the Iberian Peninsula and 30% in the US.

EDF Renewables had gross installed wind and solar capacity of 21.2 GW globally at the end of last year and is helping to pioneer floating offshore wind technology offshore western Portugal and southern France via its joint venture with OceanWinds. Repsol is also a shareholder in the WindFloat Atlantic project.
