SOUTHAMPTON, UK — NASH Maritime, a shipping, navigation and maritime risk consultancy, will prepare the navigation risk assessment for a proposed development in southeast Ireland.
This will make Rosslare Europort the offshore renewable energy hub for the region, supporting the offshore wind sector and helping Ireland’s government meet its offshore wind target for offshore renewable energy of 7 MW by 2030.
The development includes a purpose-built quay and berth, a capital dredge to increase the depth of the navigation channel, quayside storage and a management control center.
NASH will also prepare the technical NAR for inclusion as an appendix to the EIAR, and it will draft the EIAR Shipping and Navigation Chapter.
The environmental impact assessment report and planning application are due to be submitted during the fall.
