HOUSTON — Friede & Goldman says that it has received approval in principle (AIP) from DNV GL Noble Denton Marine Warranty Survey for its BargeRack solution.
The engineering firm says that this approval marks a “significant milestone” in the offshore wind vessel and installation market.
Friede & Goldman says that the BargeRack solution is designed to enhance the efficiency and safety of feedering offshore wind turbines. The company says that the AIP affirms the design for meeting the highest standards in safety, reliability, and performance.
According to Friede & Goldman, the BargeRack solution eliminates hazardous offshore crew transfers, significantly increasing operational safety; and enables direct lifting of wind turbine components from a fixed deck direct to foundation, eliminating redundant handling and streamlining installation processes.
