KINTORE, UK — OEG Energy Group subsidiaries Specialist Marine Consultants and Fern Communications will jointly provide a turnkey marine coordination solution for the 1.022-GW Hai Long wind farm offshore Taiwan.
The development, 45-70 km offshore in 35-55 m water depths, is a joint venture between Northland Power, Yushan Energy and Mitsui & Co., which is set to be Taiwan’s largest offshore wind power supplier once operational.
The turnkey contract will cover the duration of the installation and commissioning works and will include provision of a marine coordination team from the UK as well as formation of a local Taiwanese team to manage the project marine coordination center over the longer-term.
