ZWIJNDRECHT, Belgium—DEME Offshore has an EPCI contract for the inter-array and export cables for the 1.2-GW Baltic Power wind farm development 23 km offshore Poland, under a consortium with NKT and TFKable Group, according to an Oct. 11 press release by DEME.
It is DEME Offshore's first offshore wind job in the country. DEME’s scope covers about 130 km of export cables and 127 km of inter-array cables, to be supplied by NKT and TFKable Group (TELE-FONIKA Kable and JDR Cable Systems).
Baltic Power is a joint development by ORLEN Group and Northland Power. Construction is set to start next year, with first power expected in 2026.
