Petronas, JOGMEC form renewable energy, carbon capture initiative

Petronas has signed a memorandum of cooperation with Japan Organization for Metals and Energy Security (JOGMEC) to cooperate in energy transition initiatives.
These include potential collaborations in green/blue hydrogen and fuel ammonia development, carbon capture and storage, and greenhouse gas emissions management.
The two parties aim to advance further technical tie-ups and competencies in low-carbon technologies as well as create business opportunities and provide technical and financial support for Japanese companies to participate in Petronas’ projects in and outside Malaysia.
