PARIS, France— A consortium of Technip Energies, Subsea 7 and Samkang M&T will perform the FEED for Corio Generation/TotalEnergies’ Ulsan Gray Whale 3 wind farm project off the east coast of South Korea.
The 504-MW Gray Whale 3 development will be located 60-70 km from Onsan Port, and it is one of three offshore wind projects that Corio/TotalEnergies are promoting off the coast of Ulsan, with a combined targeted capacity of 1.5 GW.
For Ulsan Gray Whale 3, the FEED scope covers engineering for the floater, mooring and interarray cable (IAC) in collaboration with a wind turbine supplier.
Technip Energies will design the planned floating foundations based on its INO15 concept, a three-column semisubmersible floater suited to large series production.
Subsea 7 will perform its engineering at its offices in the UK, South Korea, Malaysia and France.
