ABERDEEN, UKWood has a memorandum of understanding with HYGEN Energy concerning development of green hydrogen production complexes across the UK.

Initially Wood will work on the conceptual design for a facility at Herne Bay, on the north Kent coast of southeast England.

This will generate green hydrogen from existing offshore wind farms to be used in zero-emission mobility transport solutions in the southeast.

Production should start by mid-2023, building to 8-9 metric tons/d (8.8-9.0 tons) of green hydrogen.
