Final turbine generators dispatched to Moray East wind farm

Earlier this month, the final four turbines for the Moray East wind farm in the UK North Sea departed the Port of Nigg onboard the jackup vessel Blue Tern.

NIGG, Scotland – The final four wind turbine generators for the Moray East offshore wind farm in the UK North Sea departed the Port of Nigg earlier this month onboard the Fred. Olsen Windcarrier jackup vessel Blue Tern.

Moray Offshore Wind Farm (East) Ltd. is a joint venture between EDP Renewables and ENGIE. Moray East has a total installed capacity of 950 MW based on 100 V164-9.5MW Vestas wind turbine generators.

Global Energy managed installation of the wind turbine generators on the jacket foundations at its facility in Nigg, northeast Scotland, under a storage and marshalling contract with DEME Offshore.
