    Brave Tern to install Guanyin wind turbines offshore Taiwan

    Liwei Wind Power Co. Ltd. has awarded Fred. Olsen Windcarrier a conditional contract to transport and install 36 turbines at the Guanyin wind farm offshore northwest Taiwan.

    OSLO, Norway – Liwei Wind Power Co. Ltd. has awarded Fred. Olsen Windcarrier a conditional contract to transport and install 36 turbines at the Guanyin wind farm offshore northwest Taiwan.

    The company’s jackup vessel Brave Tern is expected to start the installation in the summer of 2022.

    Located about 2 km (1.2 mi) offshore, the 350-MW Guanyin wind farm is expected to supply power to more than 250,000 homes and reduce CO2 emissions by more than 500,000 metric tons (551,156 tons) per year.
