ST PETERSBURG, Russia – Gazprom Neft and Shell have signed a memorandum of understanding concerning further cooperation in hydrocarbon exploration and production, technology development, and carbon footprint reduction.
Among the projects involved are development of discoveries in the Ayashsky license block in the Sea of Okhotsk, eastern Russia.
The two companies will also investigate deployment of carbon capture, utilization and storage solutions at their joint venture assets, and solutions for producing hydrogen via steam reforming of natural gas coupled with carbon capture.
