ONE-Dyas’ N05-A platform and jacket have departed the HSM Offshore Energy yard near Rotterdam.

The topside and jacket were positioned onto Heerema Marine Contractors’ H-406 barge using self-propelled modular transporters operated by Mammoet and managed by HSM.

Both structures will be transported to their final location in the Dutch North Sea for installation, with first gas likely produced by December.

The N05-A platform comprises a 61.5 x 34 x 15-m topside, weighing 3,200 metric tons, supported by a six-legged “non-battered” jacket measuring 40 x 20 x 50 m and weighing 2,800 mt.

This will be the first newbuild electrified gas production platform in the North Sea, powered by electricity from the nearby Riffgat Offshore wind farm.

It will operate as a not normally manned installation with the gas exported through a subsea pipeline connected to the Noordgastransport (NGT) pipeline network, with the production delivered to the Netherlands and Germany.
