LONDON – EnQuest has restored three wells to service at the Magnus Field in the UK northern North Sea following P seal repair/replacement operations, the company said in its latest update.

In addition, the new North West Magnus injector well is nearing completion and should shortly start providing water injection support to the North West Magnus producer well.

EnQuest plans to drill two further infill wells on Magnus later in the year.

At the Heather and Thistle complexes in the same region, teams have P&A’d eight wells so far this year and are targeting a total of 23 wells by year-end 2023.

Recently, the company commissioned Saipem to remove and dispose of the Thistle topsides and jacket using the S7000 crane-lift vessel.

At Golden Eagle in the UK central North Sea, infill drilling continues with completion underway and first oil expected. Pending approval by the partners, a platform well program will start later in 2023.

Offshore Peninsular Malaysia, production from the company’s PM8/Seligi concession has risen with the first of 11 Idle Well Restoration candidate wells coming online. First oil should follow in July from the first of two well workovers.
