Quickflange is used by major oil companies to avoid shutdown or welding habitats when performing typical pipe system repair or modification.
ABERDEEN, UK— TAQA Bratani has awarded ICR Integrity a two-year hire contract covering the supply of Quickflange weldless connections to TAQA’s UK North Sea operations.
The contract has an option for a two-year extension.
Both parties have been working together for almost 10 years. Lindsay Anderson, Quickflange head of sales, said the technology offers permanent repair options with minimized downtime or the need for hot work permits.
Quickflangeis said to provide an 80% time savings over traditional welding methods, and it can be used as an emergency solution or for any planned maintenance and repair work.
