Vallourec to provide line pipe, insulation for Shell Orca project

TechnipFMC has contracted Vallourec to provide line pipes for Shell Brasil’s Orca (ex-Gato do Mato) deepwater field development in the Santos Basin.

Vallourec will deliver over 20,000 t of subsea seamless premium carbon-steel line pipes for use in risers and flowlines, along with anti-corrosive and thermal insulated coating services.

The latter will be supplied by the recently acquired company Thermotite do Brasil.
