RIO DE JANEIRO – Petrobras’ presalt production offshore Brazil accounted for 70% of the company’s overall oil and gas output last year, averaging 1.95 MMboe/d in 2021.
This year, the production sharing regime for the Atapu and Sépia fields in the Santos basin, including portions of the Transfer of Rights and concession agreements, will be as follows:
However, these changes and the start-up of the FPSOs P-70 and Carioca on Atapu and Sépia, respectively, will impact the company’s production this year, leading to a likely reduction of 70 MMboe/d.
As for overall investments for 2022, the company maintains its forecast of $11 billion. In addition, Petrobras will discuss development plans to produce the surplus volumes in Atapu and Sépia with its partners with a view to commissioning a new production system for each field.
