Consortia submit bids for Albacora fields offshore Brazil

The PetroRio/Cobra and EIG Global Energies Partners/Enauta/3R Petroleum consortia have submitted bids for both fields that could exceed $4 billion.

RIO DE JANEIRO – Petrobras has received binding offers for its interests in the producing Albacora and Albacora Leste fields in the Campos basin offshore Brazil.

The PetroRio/Cobra and EIG Global Energies Partners/Enauta/3R Petroleum consortia have submitted bids for both fields that could exceed $4 billion.

Petrobras is currently assessing the proposals for conditions including firm and contingent payments. The board will then consider an appropriate start-date for the negotiations.
