ST JOHN’s, Canada  The Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board (C-NLOPB) have updated the most likely EUR for the Hibernia Field offshore eastern Canada, according to a June 24 C-NLOPB news release.

The proven and probable (2P) EUR is now 1,812 MMbbl of oil, based on data from drilling and production activities and an updated, long-term drilling schedule.

In 2014, when the previous estimate was issued, the 2P EUR was thought to be 1,644 MMbbl.

Recently, the C-NLOPB also raised its most likely EUR for the North Amethyst Field to 70 MMbbl, compared with 64 MMbbl in 2018.

It defines EUR as those quantities of petroleum estimated, as of a given date, to be recoverable plus those quantities that have been already produced.
