PTTEP prioritizing Southeast Asia fields in budget plans

BANGKOK, Thailand – PTTEP has budgeted capex spending of $2.588 billion and opex of $1.608 billion for its E&P activities in 2021.
The priorities include maintaining the production plateau at the offshore S1, Bongkot, Arthit, Malaysia and Zawtika projects; and preparing for planned operations of the G1/61 (Erawan field) and G2/61 projects (Bongkot field) offshore Thailand.
Another focus will be to advance of the offshore Mozambique Area 1 project and to speed up development planning for the Sarawak SK410B off Malaysia, to deliver a final investment decision.
As for exploration, PTTEP has allocated total capex of $152 million, some for wells offshore Malaysia and Mexico.
