ABU DHABI, UAE – Eni has agreed to sell 20% of its 85% interest in Egypt’s Nour North Sinai Offshore concession to Mubadala.
The other existing partner is Tharwa Petroleum Co.
Nour is in the East Nile Delta basin, 50 km (31 mi) offshore in the Eastern Mediterranean, in water depths ranging from 50-400 m (164-1,312 ft), and covers a total area of 739 sq km (285 sq mi).
The partners are currently drilling an exploration well as part of their commitments for the concession’s first exploration period.
