ABERDEEN, UK – Wood Group has provided an update on talks to resolve industrial action among its members on an installation in the UK North Sea.
The company’s representatives, officials from theUnite and RMT unions and shop stewards have drawn up a mutually agreeable proposal.
This is said to take into account the skills, flexibility, and capabilities of the offshore workforce, the challenges facing the industry, and the need for the future of theNorth Sea.
Management are in contact with all its offshore personnel, explaining the terms of the new proposal and its impact on terms and conditions.
Unite and RMT will begin balloting their members next week.
