CNOOC has started production from two offshore oil fields.

HONG KONGCNOOC has started production from two offshore oil fields.

Wenchang 19-1 North is in the western Pearl River Mouth basin in water depths of 120-130 m (393-426 ft). The field has three wells in production. CNOOC has a 100% interest.

Weizhou 12-8 West is in the Beibu Gulf basin in the southwest area of theSouth China Sea, in an average water depth of 34 m (111 ft). It has five producing wells.

CNOOC has a 51% operating interest, in partnership with Roc Oil (China), Horizon Oil (Beibu), and Oil Australia.
