MOSCOW, Russia— Lukoil has proven a large new gas-condensate field in the Russian sector of the Caspian Sea.
The Khazri discovery followed drilling and testing of multiple wells during 2022. Lukoil plans to rename the field after one of its founders, Ravil Maganov, and has a further new project in the works for the Yury Kuvykin Field in the same area.
Later this year the company expects the Valery Grayfer Field in the Caspian sector to reach plateau production of more than 1 MM metric tons per year.
