Petrobras lifts production from Brazil fields

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil  Petrobras averaged total oil and gas production last year of 2.684 MMboe/d, 3.2% above its original target of 2.6 MMboe/d.

The company started operations on two new platforms: the FPSO Guanabara on the Mero Field in the presalt Santos Basin offshore Brazil in April and the P-71 on the Itapu Field in the same sector last month, ahead of schedule.

Platforms serving the Berbigão and Sururu fields reached maximum oil production capacity, while the FPSO Carioca at the Sépia Field delivered a new monthly production record for a presalt platform with 174,000 bbl/d during November. The same month Petrobras achieved a record monthly oil production from a single well, ATP-06, on the P-70, with 56,500 bbl/d.

Additionally, the company advanced its Campos Basin renovation plan, starting up 10 new production wells and four injector wells, expanding production from the basin by 94,000 bbl/d.
