HONG KONG – CNOOC Ltd. has started production from the Jinzhou 25-1 oilfield 6/11 area in Bohai offshore China.
The development is in central Liaodong Bay in an average water depth of 22.5 m (73.8 ft).
It involved installation of an eight-legged wellhead platform and connections to existing facilities at the Jinzhou 25-1 and Jinzhou 25-1S oilfields.
CNOOC plans a total of 19 production and 10 water injection wells, with peak output of around 16,500 b/d of crude oil anticipated in 2023.
