HONG KONG – CNOOC has started production from the Liuhua 16-2 oilfield/ 20-2 oilfield joint development in the eastern South China Sea.
The development, in a water depth of 410 m (1,345 ft), involved construction of a newbuild, 150,000-dwt FPSO and three subsea production systems.
CNOOC plans to drill a total of 26 development wells, reaching peak production of around 72,800 b/d of crude oil in 2022.
