Third platform goes online at South Pars Phase 13 offshore Iran

Pars Oil and Gas Co. has started rich gas production through the third platform of the South Pars Phase 13 development in the Persian Gulf.

TEHRAN, Iran – Pars Oil and Gas Co. has started rich gas production through the third platform of the South Pars Phase 13 development in the Persian Gulf.

According to news service Shana, the new 13C satellite platform is connected to the ‌13A main platform via an 18-in. subsea pipeline. On arrival, the gas is commingled with other production on 13A and exported to the Phase 13 refinery in Kangan through a 100-km (62-mi), 32-in. line.

Iran Marine Industrial Co. (SADRA), the contractor responsible for the Phase 13 offshore components. Built the 7,000-t platform, including the bridge and flare stack, at its Bushehr Yard.

Phase 13 has a current production capacity of 43 MMcm/d, including 14.2 MMcm/d from 13C.
