ABERDEEN, UK – BP has extended Petrofac’s inspection and maintenance contract for its North Sea facilities by a further three years.
In addition, BP has awarded the company a new four-year metering contract that covers offshore and onshore consulting and support.
Petrofac said it would continue to apply digital technology to drive improvements and increase efficiencies.
Last year the two parties collaborated to demonstrate new execution techniques. Petrofac combined use of Digital Twin technology, Connected Worker and its proprietary software BuildME to digitalize all campaign maintenance and inspection.
This resulted in substantial productivity gains compared to industry standards, the company claims.
