ATHENS, Greece  Corinth Pipeworks will manufacture longitudinally submerged arc welded steel pipes for Equinor’s Irpa Field gas-condensate development in the Norwegian Sea.

The company will supply about 15 km of 23-inch and 26-inch pipes for the project, a tie-in to infrastructure serving the Aasta Hansteen Field.

Irpa is in 1,350 m of water in the Vøring Basin. The production will help extend the lifespan of the Hansteen spar platform.

Offshore pipelay should start in 2025.
