Welltec tools to speed up intervention offshore Angola

COPENHAGEN, Denmark – Total Angola has contracted Welltec to supply downhole conveyance and intervention technologies and services.

These are designed to reduce mobilization time for intervention operations compared to conventional methods applying coiled tubing or jointed pipe. Other benefits, according to Welltec, include a reduction in the number of offshore lifting operations, personnel, and footprint.

The contract is for three years, with two optional one-year extensions.
