TGS has secured new 4D streamer contracts offshore Norway, three in the North Sea and one in the Barents Sea.
The North Sea acquisition campaign should begin early this spring, comprising three back-to-back surveys lasting about 130 days in total.
Thereafter, the 4D program in the Barents Sea should get underway in late May and continue for roughly 50 days.
CEO Kristian Johansen said the company would deploy its GeoStreamer technology.
“We are experiencing higher demand for contract work on the Norwegian Continental shelf this year, compared to last. When including our multi-client programs, we will have three streamer [Ramform] vessels working on the Norwegian Continental Shelf this summer," he said.
