LONDON — ROVCO will perform site characterization services at the location of the 1.5-GW Outer Dowsing Offshore Wind project off the Lincolnshire coast in the UK southern North Sea.
This is a joint venture between TotalEnergies, Corio Generation and Gulf Energy Development.
Rovco will undertake a geophysical investigation of various sites, mapping the seabed and sub-seabed conditions to identify potential hazards that might impact installation of the wind turbines subsea subsea cables.
In addition, the company conducts benthic environmental surveys to support analysis of any disruption to local wildlife.
ROVCO will deploy its survey vessel Glomar Supporter, which has an umanned surface vessel onboard, capable of simultaneous data collection and instant upload for fast processing of the data. Glomar Supporter also has a work-class ROV for inspection purposes.
