Offshore staff
LONDON –The Dong Fang Kan Tan No. 1should have completed a 3,000 line km (1,864 mi) 2D seismic survey offshore Papua New Guinea at this time. The work was 98% complete in the middle of this past week.
CNOOC (NYSE:CEO) is the operator and BGP PNG Exploration is conducting the survey on PPL374 and PPL375, held 100% by Gini Energy Ltd. CNOOC holds 70% of Gini and UMC Energy (AIM:UEP.L) holds 30%.
