HOUSTON --Spectrum has teamed with specialists on eastern Mediterranean geology to develop new products designed to enhance exploration knowledge in the region. This follows Noble Energy’s recent drilling successes at Dalit, Tamar, and Leviathan in the Levantine basin.
The new suite of products, named “East Med 2011”, comprise over 22,000 km (13,670 mi) of 2D multi-client seismic data; a well data compilation; a detailed analysis of geology offshore Lebanon; a Lebanese country guide; and a three-day training course on Applied Deepwater Exploration in the Eastern Mediterranean.
The Petroleum Geology of Offshore Lebanon report, compiled recently by ATenergy, provides detailed interpretation of regional geology and tectonics. It also contains seismically derived maps of offshore Lebanon, and analysis of the recent Noble discoveries.
ATenergy has commissioned a report outlining Lebanon’s political and social aspects, and providing information on relevant government departments and procedures.
Spectrum’s Well Data report contains well and calibration data compiled through detailed stratigraphy (biostratigraphy and lithostratigraphy), well logs, pressure tests, and drilling results. It focuses on nine wells in the region.
