HOUSTON – Turkish Petroleum, the national oil company of Turkey, has added Paradigm reverse time migration to its existing Paradigm portfolio.
Paradigm RTM addresses the imaging of seismic data in areas of complex wave phenomena. It can handle the combinations of structural dip with high velocity contrast that are found in many of TP’s exploration basins, said Paradigm.
“For close to 30 years, TP has been an important user of our processing and imaging solutions,” said Edip Baysal, Paradigm chief geophysicist and one of the inventors of Reverse Time Migration.
“We’re pleased that we were able to provide them with an optimal solution for their complex imaging challenges, and for validating velocity models with its forward modeling capability.”
