MASSY, France – Sercel, CGG’s sensing and monitoring division, has completed its acquisition of ION Geophysical Corp’s software business.
This comprises Orca: a navigation system dedicated to streamers; Gator: a navigation system for OBN; Mesa: tools for optimizing marine and land seismic crews; Marlin: software for managing simultaneous marine operations, used for marine seismic crews and other offshore operations and for harbors.
Sercel intends to operate the newly acquired technology as a business unit.
