Magseis books further 4D OBN survey in the Gulf of Mexico

OSLO, Norway and HOUSTON – A repeat undisclosed customer has awarded Magseis Fairfield a 4D ocean bottom node (OBN) survey in the Gulf of Mexico.

The survey will be conducted with the company’s ZXPLR technology.

Start-up is planned for 1Q 2022, and the total duration is expected to be about two months. The award also includes an optional project for an additional two months.

CEO Carel Hooijkaas said both ZXPLR crews will be operating in the Gulf of Mexico during H1 2022.
