BERGEN, Norway – Petrobras has contracted Shearwater GeoServices for an 810-sq km (313-sq mi) ocean bottom node 4D baseline survey over the Jubarte field in the Campos basin offshore Brazil.
Shooting will start in the first half of next year and continue for three months.
The SW Diamond acquisition vessel will operate the company’s 3x3 source arrangement (three sub-arrays on each of the three sources, compared to the conventional two).
According to Shearwater Geo, this leads to increased efficiency without source compromise.
The project’s omni-directional source will be designed to emit energy uniformly in all directions to assist 4D repeatability over the rich-azimuth deepwater OBN acquisition.
