    Seabed Geosolutions to focus on OBN seismic technologies

    LEIDSCHENDAM, the Netherlands – Fugro subsidiary Seabed Geosolutions has agreed to sell its entire shallow water ocean bottom cable (OBC) recording equipment spread for around $10 million.

    The equipment was used recently on a project offshore the UAE for ADNOC.

    CEO Stephan Midenet said the sale “completes the transformation of Seabed Geosolutions into a pure ocean bottom node (OBN) company.

    “We are now largely focused around our Manta suite of technologies, comprised of both a proprietary node and deployment systems, and which has been designed to deliver leading efficiencies in all water depths.”

    The company plans to retain a strong shallow-water focus in the Middle East.
