    LONDON – Shearwater GeoServices’ Polar Empress has started a two-week 3D seismic survey over the Pensacola prospect in UK southern North Sea license P2252.

    Shell recently became operator, following a farm-in deal with Cluff Natural Resources.

    After the data has undergone processing, final results are expected to be issued early next summer.

    Cluff assesses Pensacola’s prospective resources in an untested Zechstein reef at 309 bcf of gas.
